The city of New York. There isn't any other place on the planet like this. At least, that's what the movies and our New York friends tell us. They have declared it the greatest city on the planet. Even if you're sceptical because it's self-proclaimed, Sinatra sang about it for a reason. It's a fantastic family vacation destination. We've compiled a list of the best things to do in NYC with kids to help you navigate it.

Plan a trip to this amazing city of New York with cheap flights to New York and enjoy your days here!

1. Staten Island Ferry

Every tourist hotspot listicle in New York City includes this as a top mention. There's a reason for this. The ferry provides an excellent view of the Statue of Liberty and New York Harbor. It's a 25-minute ride on one side and one of the most fun things to do in the city for kids. On your way back, you should also stop by the St. George neighborhood to get some more picturesque shots.

2. Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island

When it comes to iconic views, this is one of the best. The Ellis Island Immigration Museum is one of the best places for kids in NYC for both entertainment and education. It gives them a taste of what it was like to come to the land of opportunity. Get the kids an audio tour of the Statue of Liberty when you arrive at the pedestal. If they are taller than four feet, they can also reach the crown. There's also a new museum with interactive exhibits in this area.

3. One World Observatory

This is a good starting point if you're seeking out the most enjoyable kid's actions in NYC. For one thing, the kids will enjoy riding in one of the world's fastest elevators. They'll also be in one of the world's tallest buildings, which is an experience that even adults want to have. The 100th floor has HD videos that provide a bird's eye view of the city and the Sky Portal.

4. South Street Seaport Museum

This museum was one of the places that suffered significant damage during Hurricane Sandy. But it reopened and is still a great place to learn everything there is to know about boats, ships, and our maritime history, including information about the five historic ships anchored here. There are also activities available, such as learning how to use a letterpress. After that, take an excursion vessel around the harbor for a tour.

5. Children’s Museum of the Arts

Because it's designed to please children, it is a lot of fun for them. It covers 10,000 square feet and offers a variety of activities such as art workshops to keep them entertained. They can also look at the thousands of paintings and drawings created by other children and be inspired.

The land of New York is the perfect destination for a vacation so book a flight to New York right now.
